Charlie gets a Twitter?

Most of my social media involves Charlie. Except I forget this blog, oops?

Well DUH! You are catering to my every need. I am the center of the universe!

Anyways, you ridiculous cat, I'm thinking Charlie may get her own Twitter handle so y'all can see our lives through her perspective.

Can I take selfies too?

No.

That's a yes. Give me a minute to get the proper adorable expression.

Stay tuned to see if Charlie gets a twitter.

Head bumps and selfies

I love to get mama's attention by head butting her and I'm good at it too! But when she tries to take a photo it's usually not my good side.
Responding to emails, laying on my tummy when Charlie comes around

Charlie likes to bump heads when she is feeling ignored or hungry or wants to play with her rattle mice. It's adorable (and I finally got a picture that isn't her butt.)

I like taking selfies and even figured out how to work the touch screen on mama's phone to take pictures. I am so smart, right?

Yup! You and every other 2 year old with access to smartphone technology.

Leaf Gods and Waterfalls

Its been lovely the last few days here in Lincoln so I've been going outside to read and do homework. Charlie meows until I put her on the leash and bring her out with me. She did really good yesterday until the dogs across the alleyway barked.

Ewww. Those annoying creatures.

Today I did the same thing, put her on a leash and we went out on the patio.

I'll start telling the story now. You'll tell it wrong. Those creatures aren't outside right now so I am the supreme ruler of the town. And the wind gods are allowing the leaf gods to play and of course I had to catch a leaf. I watch them through the sliding doors and they torment me through the hard clear substance Whitney calls "glass". One of those lovely leaf creatures blew across the patio and down the steps so I had to follow it. But that stinky leash was ensnaring me. I quickly used my ninja skills and got out of the constraints. I then found the mother-load of leaves and rolled in my success. At this time Whitney realized that I was off of the leash and came hunting. By this time I had wriggled into the dirt. Whitney "simba'd" me and took me to the shower where she tried to use a washcloth to get the dirt off, but I resisted. I needed to be able to trick the leaf gods next time into accepting me as one of their own. Whitney didn't find that to be a good enough excuse to become an brown cat instead of a calico. She then locked me into the hard-walled shower and turned the waterfall on. I was NOT pleased. But then she used a big fluffy towel to dry me off and get my fur all clean. She must've felt bad because I got dinner early tonight and I got treats too!I guess being a mess might ruin my reputation as Queen, so I'm coming to terms with my shower experience.

I felt really bad turning the shower on Charlie but she wasn't letting me clean her at all and since she has all of her claws I didn't feel like tempting fate for very long. She handled the shower process fairly well. I didn't turn it on full blast and it wasn't hot water so it's no different than if she'd gotten caught in a rainshower. I don't think she hates me too much tight now, but we'll see if she goes crazy tonight.

Genetics Specimen

I am the subject of a very important assignment. I am very special. It's kind of a big deal.

One of my sorority sisters is in a genetics class and needed to study a feline, and I volunteered Charlie. Alexis needed some pictures of Char and whether or not her black spots were pure black hairs or striped brown and black. Charlie has pure black haired black spots. I should know. Her hair gets every where all of the time.

Awh yes. Very important studies.

Sleep Spots

Charlie likes to sleep on the couch but usually she's on the opposite side from me. But tonight, when it was almost time for bed, Charlie came over to look over my shoulder, but she ended up getting comfy and staying. I was studying so I was about to pull up the webcam and snap a picture of my purring cuddle buddy. But as cute as she was, her added weight started to hurt my shoulder and I had to shift her to the cushion behind me. It was really cute and her purrs are really loud. But then she tried to bite my hair bun, so that was a little annoying.
Goofy kitty on my shoulder

Night-night time yet? I've been really good all night! I haven't been obnoxious and meowing until now because now I'm really, really sleepy.

Fun with fuses

I don't like it when the throne room goes dark- not even my glow lights on either. It happened 3 times tonight too! The first time it happened, Whitney panicked a little since it was so sudden. I, of course, thought it was normal since I get left without lights all of the time while Whitney goes to class, but that's during the daytime. Whitney went to the stairs to see if the rest of the house went dark, but since it was just the basement she realized it was just a fuse.

I figured it was the fuse after I realized that the washer, dryer, and my TV were all on at the same time. I rarely have my TV on (read: I haven't turned my TV on since the Hail Mary replay last football season so it was set on ESPN), I figured it just over taxed the circuit. I was able to turn the bathroom light on (thank goodness!) and pulled a chair into the bathroom since the fuse box is above my eye level.

I helped! But apparently almsot tripping Whitney isn't really that helpful.

Not all of the labels made sense, but after a couple of attempts I realized it was the lower right handed switch and- voila!- lights! About 15 minutes later, and at another point in the laundry cycle I'm assuming, the lights went out again. I was able to flip the switch since the correct one is on the bottom, a wonderful silver lining! And then a third time the lights when out, but Zack had gone to a friend's house so I decided to move my study party to the upstairs living room and avoid the troublesome fuse until laundry was done.

I love the upstairs couch. I have my favorite spot on the couch so I can see most of the upstairs, the TV, and out two windows- the back door and front window. I like the squirrels a lot. But I love when Whitney is upstairs to snuggle with me too! And she gets bonus points if she brings these things called "notes" and "textbooks" for me to sit on. Those are really fun to lay on and sometimes I gnaw on the corners.

Girl Scout Cookies

I like to lick Girl Scout Cookies.

I'm ignoring Charlie right now. The little snot licked not one, but two cookies right before I ate them, and then tried to knock the box on the floor.

I think you're being mean. Cookies are delicious!

I know. Stop trying to eat my cookies!
